Venus Laowa 24mm T8 Direct View Probe Lens

The Laowa 24mm T8 Direct View Pro2be Lens from Venus Optics is a truly unique lens designed for close-up shooting. Also known as the "Bug-Eye Perspective" Lens, the Pro2be offers a maximum T8 aperture, 2X magnification and waterproof distance of 36.6cm, pairing perfectly with your high-speed cameras and motion-control system. The lens comes with 7 interchangeable mounts, compatible with ARRI PL, Canon EF, Canon RF, Nikon F, Nikon Z, Sony E, and the L mount. This "cine-mod" version of the lens has been optimized for video use and features integrated gears on both the aperture and focus rings for doing iris and focus pulls using a follow focus.  As a wide-angle lens, greater depth of field is afforded when compared to traditional telephoto macro lenses, allowing for greater detail in the background with less subject isolation. Optical design includes two extra-low dispersion elements that control color fringing and chromatic aberrations to produce greater clarity and color accuracy. Seven-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality. One extra refractive index element is also featured, which reduces spherical aberrations and distortion for improved sharpness and accurate rendering. The front of the lens also has a built-in LED ring light which is powered via a micro-USB port on the barrel, providing some illumination on close-up subjects for easier focusing. It is the all-in-one solution for capturing a wide range of shots, from extreme close-ups to cinematic top and high-angle shots, at the ultimate level of user experience.
